Now that I got the more touristy shots out of the way, I can show off the reason we came to Eyam in the first place. This is the start of a wonderful walk around the countryside near Eyam and Foolow.

After wanting to explore this walk, we finally got some free time to do so the other day. I'm amazed that I have never been down this part of Doncaster before. It's always nice to find new things locally. To the left is the canal, to the the right are the walls of the prison, built on the site of the old power-station.

Not the best shot of the area, but I'll be making plenty of return visits.

No, I have not taken a sudden trip to north Scotland! I was inspired by a look at SomeDriftwood's set of pictures with a Olympus trip, and decided to dig around the vaults for some of mine. Scanned in from a print, this is a shot I took on holiday in north Scotland back in the 1990's.

Taken from Hawkshill road, just behind the cottage we stayed in. It was a quiet summer evening only disturbed by roosting swallows and the occasional baa! from the nearby sheep.

This is where we stayed, a lovely little cottage in a quiet corner of the village. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of taking a trip to this part of the uk.
