As a child, you never really understand what the significance of the day is. Now that I'm older, I realize how different our country would be if we didn't have independence. <br /> <br /> Coincidentally, I'm leaving for Haiti on Wednesday, where the culture is extremely different from where I live. I'm really excited about this trip and there will be many pictures on Flickr and on Facebook when I get back.<br /> <br /> ALSO, thanks SO much for all of the love and views I received on my last photo. I have no idea how that happened, but I'm very grateful. It is the most number of views I have ever gotten on one photo.
