Looking up at the ceiling of the Painted Hall. Moderate HDR and tweaks to bring out the original richness and vibrancy of the Trompe L'Oeil painting. I have left this photo as large as possible because there is so much detail in the ceiling.

Looking along the front of the Old Royal Naval College towards Central London. Liked the strong diagonal and vanishing point in the centre. Waited for one of the frequent walkers who use the waterside path. Mild HDR and mono conversion.

Using a 10mm lens to look through the inner door of the Chapel at the Old Royal Naval College. Cannot get the camera high enough to prevent key-stoning - so just went with it!

South West Sunset

I was driving down to Cornwall to visit my folks, and I had to pull off into a lay-by when I saw the sun dipping below these trees on a hill. The sky wasn't really very orange, so I decided to go B&W instead of adding any artificial digital sunset filter. My DSLR camera was buried in the boot, so I made do with my Panasonic TZ7 point and shoot - which at least has a Leica lens!
Not sure exactly where on the A30 this was, but somewhere between Exeter and Bodmin.

On my way back to work after a brief photo outing in the mist. I couldn't resist lining up this shot of the Queen's House, the Maritime Museum and the Old Royal Observatory, as seen through the trees and against the strengthening sunlight. Mild HDR from 3 hand-held shots.

Something Missing in the Mist

The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, as seen from the path in front of the Queen's House. It was a really misty morning with the sun just about burning through. Canary Wharf is hidden - which is a good thing! Gives this shot a slightly timeless feeling - except for the modern bins.
Photography at this time of day is a little difficult because of all the traffic - unless you don't mind having cars and buses in shot. I had to wait a little while for a brief gap in the traffic.

This "wild and wriggley" stick insect was always ready for a leafy snack. I also enjoyed watching it make a bid for freedom on Neal's camera, after a particularly macro macro-shot.

Thanks to Cairis Hickey, we had some amazing wild and wriggley "friends" to photograph at Aperture Woolwich. This is her (rather relaxed and laid-back) lizard on his (or her) log. From a brief image search, this looks a bit like a bearded dragon.
