Went for a wander to Playa De La Americas one evening in Tenerife.
Must admit Playa wasn't my type of place. It did however have this sculpture on the beach.
Was there at the right moment with the sun behind it, so got this rather nice shot.

Spent the last couple of weeks by the pool in Los Cristianos, in Tenerife.
Would highly recommend it for anyone that needs a break from work.

The balcony from our apartment gave an excellent view of the sun going down each evening.
This is one of the best, looking towards Playa De Las Americas.
On the horizon the Islands of La Gomera and La Palma can be made out.

Found this magnificent old tree in the New Forest a few weeks ago.
Kind of looked like it was standing on guard just outside Stoney Cross.
Produced this HDR image of it.

The azalea in the garden was covered in shoots.
Then came the snow. Don't know what damage it will do to the plant.
What I do know though, it's left me with this cracking macro shot.

Taken hand held with a 35mm lense and kenko extensions tubes.

Today in Soton, we had the first major snowfall of the winter.
Got my macro lense and flash out, and braved the cold.

Last sunday the sun came out.

The New Forest is such a wonderful part of the country.
I feel so lucky to have it just on my doorstep. If you've never visited it I would highly recommend it.

Took this in the Aquarium at Bristol. Well worth a visit if you're in the area and into that sort of thing.
Really like this shot. Think the colours have got a lot of punch.
Considering it was taken in low light through glass I think it's come out well.

Took this shot about 9 in the evening.
Was taken handheld, and must say I was pleased with the results

Clifton Suspension Bridge

The Suspension Bridge at Clifton, Bristol.
A very impressive feat on engineering. Designed by Brunel and completed in 1864.
The bridge is still in use today by road traffic.
