Renee - Happy Easter!

tyler hayward posted a photo:

+1 in the comments!

Edited on my laptop at home...I have no ideas if these colours are correct since I can't trust my laptop display. I'll have to check and replace it later when I'm back in hamilton with my other monitor

Been taking a few personal photos during the week leading up to exams :) You'll be seeing more of Renee over the next few days as I post more photos from the shoot as well as by buddy Victor who I wanted to shoot for threadcount a while back.

If you've been following, Renee's been featured on my stream before for threadcount and she's also a fantastic photographer, amazing/most dependable friend, loves music and has the coolest hair ever! She has been lending me her lovely yellow road bike which she named bumblebee for obvious reasons ;) so I've been able to bike to campus and get some exercise these past few weeks and I can't thank her enough while I search for a bike to replace mine that was stolen in first semester. I wanted to take a photo of her with bumblebee and she just happened to be all dressed up for her thesis pressentation, so we grabbed some lighitng equipement and walked aroud campus until I spotted these lovely yellow bushes which I thought might look great as some bokeh while the sun dipped below the residence building behind us at golden hour.

We ditched the bike after getting a few shots and I wanted to grab some portraits as well before all the light died. I shot through a bunch of the bushes to get the lovely foreground bokeh (definitely inspired by Emily Soto's work :P ) and worked with the changing light and balancing the strobe or fill. This was also my first time really working with the Mola outside on one of my shoots and I have to say I love the quality of light it gives!! (again inspired by Emily and her work with the Mola Setti which introduced me to soft light with a beauty dish)

I'll have to write more when I get back from Easter dinner with the fam!
