I took this in the only five minutes we didn't have torrential rain yesterday! Today is just as bad - maybe worse because it is blowing a gale as well! I should have left with the geese!
This is not B & W, nor is it heavily processed - if you look carefully you might see a bit of colour.

The two surviving gull chicks can now see over the parapet and they spend a lot of time gazing longingly at the sea! They test their little stumps of wings but cannot get off the ground yet.

The Statsraad Lehmkuhl was in Bergen that day - it is her home port. Unfortunately she was moored in an ugly place surrounded by sheds so I couldn't get far enough back for a good shot with the whole ship in. Never mind - I have plenty of other tall ships on my photo stream - in better weather too!

Biggest brightest full moon since 1993 and we were blessed with clear skies!

Yesterday was a coal-black overcast day but as the coastal steamer sailed past my house a shaft of light caught it just long enough for me to take a picture!
I have been invited on board this particular ship for a promotional visit in two week's time :-)
Sorry I didn't get onto Flickr yesterday....things happen sometimes which prevent it!
