Inner Stambol Gate is southeastern gate in the second city wall, The gate was built around 1750 and is named after Istambul.

Pančevo Bridge

Construction of the original bridge began in 1933 and it was inaugurated in 1935. In April 1941 it was destroyed by the Germans. They then temporarily repaired it for their own uses but destroyed it again in 1944 during the withdrawal.
The bridge was built once more in 1946. The Pančevo Bridge was the only bridge over the Danube in Serbia that wasn't destroyed by the NATO aviation during the bombing of Serbia from in 1999.

His mausoleum, known as the House of Flowers is located on the grounds of the Museum of Yugoslav History, which remains to this day one of Belgrade’s main attractions. Thirty years after his death, the mausoleum has not lost its fascination.

This Belgrade landmark was inaugurated in 1928 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the breach of the Thessaloniki Front. Situated in Kalemegdan it faces west over the Sava River towards New Belgrade. The warrior figure has two symbols of Serbian nationhood in its design. In the left hand is held a falcon to symbolise Slavic freedom. In the right hand a sword representing the defence of peace.

...and history's longest wait?

The project started in 1964 as a joint-venture between the governments of Romania and (then) Yugoslavia for the construction of a major dam on the Danube River which would serve both countries. At the time of completion in 1972, it was one of the largest hydroelectric power stations in the world with twelve units generating 2,052 MW, divided equally between the two countries at 1,026 MW each.

Outside the Belgrade Fortress at the Innner stambol Gate is a collection of numerous tanks, howitzers, and armoured cars of many types, captured after the various wars and sieges, all part of the Military Museum.
