taken at the Emley Flower Festival held last weekend ( May 17-19th 2013) at St Michael's Church, with proceeds going towards the Church Building Fund for it's Restoration. Raised £1300, so that was super in these times of austerity, kept admission price low and more people can come, after all it was a community event, don't want to price people out !!

a quite apt design given the village surrounds where we live, sheep and cows and pheasants are quite a dominant feature of the surrounds up here in Emley,

to the right is the candle Prayer Stande and on the left is the Remembrance Book of names and above it here hangs a Miners Candle on the wall, The village of Emley has a mining history up until all their closures a few years back now, .

Quite simply, I have not taken this and they haven't tidied up yet, there was still lots of work in progress whilst I was there but this wasn't it.....this represents the work being done restoring the Church, I shall put on another shot I took of the plan of the Church and the work to be done for anyone interested.
Grade 1 listed, 14th century Church, with some later additions over the years.
