Today marked my second trip to the battlefield at Gettysburg. The first came in 2006 with my son and my late father and came before I took up photography. Today marked a chance to go back and remember my dad, while redoing some of the shots I did back then.

This one, however, was new. The grave of a Union soldier known only as "924" is marked with a simple granite stone about three inches square. There are hundreds of such graves -- and even mass graves of unidentifiable and unknown soldiers on both sides -- in the battlefield cemetery.

Taken 23 March 2013 at the Soldiers' National Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA.

This is the top of the 56-story Capella Tower in MInneapolis, home to Capella Online University. There is a significant amount of local debate as to whether this or the nearby 57-story IDS Tower is the tallest building in Minneapolis. Capella advocates say the 'halo' seen at the top of the frame makes it 14 inches taller than the IDS Tower, while IDS proponents say a window washing garage built on its roof makes it the taller building.

Doesn't matter. This is still a pretty shot in my opinion.
