My reward for the most cruel stairclimbing I have ever done (without even exaggerating in the slightest).

See that highest mountaintop way back there - that´s where I just came from, drenched in sweat, with a pounding heart and head after climbing virtually vertically on deteriorating, wiggling and simply hazardous stone slabs in over 30° C and high humidity, chased by swarms of flies and mosquitoes - without any views whatsoever. I took nearly all my heavy full frame equipment with me, which I won´t ever do again in a situation like this!

These steps up through the densely overgrown mountain sides just never stopped and got steeper and steeper after every bend. Thankfully absolutely no one was around for miles, so my frequent cursing during this agony of a hike hopefully remained unheard.
Well, the curses wouldn´t have been understood anyway I guess :)

You can´t imagine my disappointment when I arrived on the top back there, only to be greeted by an antenna and a solar panel - and foliage over foliage taking away any potentially beautiful view that I hoped for the whole hike, the one thing that kept me going.

So I pressed on after some serious consideration (my water was almost depleted), and at last got treated to this place and view.

Never before have I been this exhausted. Not recommended for anyone, no matter your constitution!
Glad I got this over with.

New Bridge with Abundance of Space (Hangzhou, Qiantangjiang River)

SOOC (besides some very minute sharpening).

Loved the way the bridge´s underside was painted in golden sunlight (a reflection from the water surface).
This bridge across the Qiantangjiang is only a couple of months old, the road leading to it from Binjiang is still under construction.
