Day 11/365

Such a crazy long day today, driving back and forth in a boiling hot car, and going into Bath (this is Bath by the way!) at the worst time possible - rush hour ( this was processed in Lightroom 4 with Whipped Cream Lightroom Preset). I love Bath but not when it's jam-packed with traffic, particularly when I want to get home!

Anyway - I love driving down this road when I go into Bath, so I thought I would share it with you for today's 365 photo!

No Right Time - Jump #14 of #100

A little contrast to the countryside, but I fell in love with this mews when I saw it. I literally walked from the main street, turned right and suddenly saw this little mews - so much more beautiful than the main streets!

It was also unbelievably hot, almost like standing in an oven! Got to love London's humidity...

I've had this idea in mind for my jump project for ages - but it hasn't always been easy to have all 3 of us able to do this, which is why it's taken so long!

I just love the concept, in particular how love can give you the strength to do something. Love, in all its different forms, is a truly powerful thing.

Yup... you knew it was coming, didn't you?! A brand new jump! Sasha and I did this jump just before we went surfing.

I love the sense of freedom you get when you jump. Whether you're super, duper happy, or just want to let some feelings go, a jump can be the most expressive thing and it feels truly wonderful, whatever the mood or feeling.

Although the beach looks empty, we were just lucky - I was able to position myself so she looks like she is the only one there... but we did get some very funny looks from strangers haha!

Just a Jump Away

This edge is one of my favourite ledges - I have taken so many photographs from this ledge, and they're all so different.

Although this ledge looks very close to the water, it's deceptive - it is a long way down, down, down and rather freaky when the wind is blowing hard!

Anyway, the 1D mark III is back safe and sound after being repaired... so 100 Jumps #4 coming soon!

A Perfect Day

One of the most beautiful days I spent traveling home, I went via Port Isaac and explored its coastline.

Just absolutely gorgeous! The funny thing was how TINY the village is. Cars can only JUST fit down the little roads. It's amazing!

Anyway, I heard back from the Canon repair service. Camera is being mended tonight / tomorrow, so it should be back in a few days. Woohoo!!

On The Edge

Definitely one of my most "scary" photographic moments.

I really wished I had a harness so I could get down low and close to it without feeling utterly sick!

Has to be one of the most incredible sheer drops though - I haven't seen anything quite like it! It really is amazing how the land just falls away.

Anyway, sadly I had to send in my camera to have it looked at - something wasn't working properly, so I haven't been able to do any jumps!! Fingers crossed it's back safe and sound by the end of the week.

How beautiful does this water look? When I saw it, I couldn't believe I was in England.

This type of water, these colours... definitely not England material, but I am not complaining!

Definitely want to go back to Cornwall as soon as possible. The weather is so nice down there. Not because it's warmer, but the weather is so dramatic and it changes ALL the time. As soon as it rains, the sun is out. It is such a breath of fresh air.

Sunkissed Coastline

Ah, I miss Cornwall! It really is such a beautiful place and such a breath of fresh air.

So this photograph was taken on my 2nd last day there. We finally had clear skies and a blowout sunset. It was utterly magical. I loved how the sun kissed the rocks, it honestly was the most beautiful thing I have seen.

Now that my 365 project is finished I have time to go through and upload all the photographs I have yet to share.

I have never been in such a challenging position while taking a photograph. The wind was positively gale force and if I literally had to sit down because when I stood up I felt like I was going to be blown away.

Hydrangeas! Aren't they stunning? I never seem to see any at home, but the minute you get near Cornwall they are out and partying!

Cornwall in July is hugely different to April/May. There isn't an clover covering the cliffs, but it is still absolutely gorgeous and refreshing.

My nearest Apple store is Bath, so when we need a visit to the genius bar, Bath is the place to go and why not photograph it at the same time?!

Exhausting day, computer-headaches and all that, but it was fun photographing this, it was a challenge to say the least!

The reaming few flowers of a flax field! While driving home the other day I saw the white flowers out of the corner of my eye, so I just had to come back today to photograph this landscape.

Not Cornwall, but I definitely love my home. ♥

Port Gaverne - Day 351/365

Another beautiful day in Cornwall. This time taken in Port Gaverne, just next door to Port Isaac which is a small old fishing village.

The difference between Trebetherick / Rock and Port Gaverne is huge. The cliffs are so much softer in Trebetherick, a lot of them are climbable - maybe not 100% but they slope down nicely.

But in Port Gaverne they are as kind as a knife is... weird!

Oh my gosh, FINALLY! A sunset!!! So far every day it has rained and rained and been 100% overcast. Yes, sometimes we've had a clearing, but a sunset? Out of the question!

I couldn't really believe my eyes when I saw THIS. What a present! :D

On the Edge - Day 349/365

Aaaah, I love this coastline. I went all the way to the end (or rather opposite) of yesterday's photograph and it's SO COOL. There are little bits where the ground falls away and you can climb down to these rocks which is ideal for some photography!

The best bit is how you don't know what is there until you peer over the edge - sometimes you just get a sheer drop, other times a secret pathway!

Feeling the Wildness - Day 348/365

AMAZING surf today! You can probably tell by the waves in this photograph and if you can't... well, it was seriously strong! Some waves were so big I didn't know what to think!

It was incredibly cold today as well. I went to take this after surfing and I had 3 jumpers on! It rained about 3/4 of the day today, but luckily when you're surfing it doesn't really matter!

Anyway, the fun part of photographing this landscape is finding somewhere to stand - there is a very sheer edge.

But if you look closely enough there are a few places you can position yourself to get a good photograph, but it definitely makes you feel funny when you look at the edge which is veeeeeery near, as you can see in this photograph once again!
