so this week i've been working on a lyric themed collaboration with fellow flickr artist cameron - who if you didn't notice, is quite wonderful and talented :) we chose a song together and decided to shoot something inspired by the lyrics/melody/alloftheabove.

we chose heartbeats, and although there are many versions, the knife and josé to name a few, we went with royal teeth's cover, which i thought was lovely, quite unique, (if a cover can indeed be unique), - the singer has a marvellous quality to her voice. i enjoyed discovering that version just as much as i enjoyed shooting for it.

i knew what imagery i wanted to go for pretty quickish, but out of curiosity i've been asking around how other folk had interpreted the lyrics, and it's really quite interesting to see how many different ideas have come crawling out of the woodworks over the week! from intense drug use to baby conception/delivery O.o - i opted for the united lovers route.

i'm looking forward to seeing cam's version. damn time difference.
