lake levels

imagebyTerri posted a photo:

another warmish day here in the PNW and we decided to take a drive down to Detroit Lake to see what it was all about. This lake/reservoir was formed in the 1950's to supply water and electricity to the town of Salem. Apparently, it is a great place to go fishing year round. The lake is slowly drawn down over the end of summer into fall to make way for the snowmelt come spring. I was excited to see Mt. Jefferson peeking through and thought it loooked rather odd with the old tree stumps in the foregound. I will have to come back in the springtime when the lake is full and bring something other than my wide angle lens with me to try and capture Mt Adams in the background.
