This lake/reservoir was formed in the 1950's to supply water and electricity to the town of Salem. Apparently, it is a great place to go fishing year round. The lake is slowly drawn down over the end of summer into fall to make way for the snowmelt come spring. I was excited to see Mt. Jefferson peeking through and thought it loooked rather odd with the old tree stumps in the foregound.
