This photo of one of the many red tour buses in Glacier National Park, Montana was taken using a Nikon P1 point and shoot camera. Too many times, it's the camera that you bring that lets you make the shot.

Every morning before breakfast while we were camping on Kalamalka Lake, I could be assured that this fellow or his sister would emerge from the tall grass and start munching on the shorter grasses and flowers.

One of the many street musicians playing for tips on the streets of the French Quarter, New Orleans. The people in the background are enjoying the cafe au lait and beignets that made the Cafe de Monde famous since 1862.

The Maryhill Stonehenge is a full-size, astronomically-aligned replica of Stonehenge located in Maryhill, Washington. It was commissioned in the early 20th century by businessman Samuel Hill and dedicated on July 4, 1918 as a memorial to those that died in World War I. The memorial was completed in 1929.

Sun Setting on Dry Falls, Washington

The sun was starting to drop and I was starting to lose the light. I wanted to catch Dry Falls while the sun was still hitting canyon before the entire scene was in shadow. The forest fires in the area added to the umique light.

Dry Falls are located in the Grand Coulee area of Washington State. Washington State Tourism says "Once the world’s largest waterfall, it’s difficult not to believe in the supernatural when you stand atop this great canyon and take in the sheer expanses of Dry Falls. A staggering 3.5 miles of vertical cliffs drop 400 feet to quiet pools of Dry Falls Lake, an ancient channel of the Columbia River. A remarkable story of lava and ice over millions of years formed this ravine, among one of the greatest catastrophic floods of the Pleistocene times (about one million years ago)."
