Yesterday morning was so calm and serene. On my way to work it was really foggy but the sun was very high in the sky and casting a wonderful light breaking up the greyness.

For the daily challenges....."Hanging" and "Addiction"

When I saw the challenge early this morning for today I knew what I wanted to photograph so I left early to work. There is a small stream running through an area of our public garden in the city and it is so pretty with all the plants and flowers hanging over the edge and reflecting in the water.

Also, I'm addicted to texturing my iPhone pictures....lol!

I love taking pictures of found objects when I'm out and about. I stopped into a consignment shop today and couldn't believe they had these two antique wagon wheels. I only had a minute to shoot before I had to get back to work.

It was sunny but windy out today, so trying to get a really pin sharp image with my iPhone was not easy, so I decided to embrace the blur. I used my long exposure app again to allow for the movement to look more intentional than just "blowing". I actually like the feel of the image; it's magical to me. I enhanced the "magic" quality by playing with the colors and vintage feel of the image.

This was taken the same morning as "Foggy Morning". I loved how the diffused light was breaking through the low, dense fog.

For the daily challenge......"On the Street where I live"

This is a bit of a stretch.....lol! I spend more time on this street than I do at home, so I feel like I live here.....lol! I was sitting on the steps outside of my work building today just watching the people go by and I saw this great guy walking by with a head of shocking pink hair. I loved it and had to snap a shot. I deepened the saturation and added a lomographic effect to bring out the greens, which really makes the pink pop.

I was in my favorite used bookstore yesterday and saw this stack of books sitting on a window sill. It was on the third floor above the street.....thus above the rest. I shot through the window at the street below.

I got up this morning and there had been a fresh blanket of snow laid down overnight. The strong early light was casting the most wonderful shadows onto that pristine canvas.

I love fairies and I love fairy artists....really good artists. I have a small but exclusive collection of one-of-a-kind sculptures from artists all over the word. This is one of my favorite pieces. It's by a wonderful artist in Australia.
