A dark and miserable day, not helped by petty frustrations. At 131 days my emotional state is still fragile in some ways... the tiniest thing can puncture my mood. So this the world as I would wish it to be instead of what it is.

I didn't really like this one, snapped this morning on the way back from the doc's, but having pushed the light and saturation a bit it seems reminiscent of book illustrations I remember as a child.

Definitely not my normal sort of shot, and a totally accidental result.

I think these are whitebeam berries, rather than rowan, but if you know please let me know :-)

Something of a red-letter day... I found out I've got funding for my humanities degree (art history, naturally); a copy of "The History of Japanese Photography (Museum of Fine Arts, Houston)" should hit the mat on Friday; and my CBT therapist, Katie, says I'm doing well and not unreasonably bonkers... so that's good :-)

Many apologies to everyone for falling behind... I've been working hard on a project and now have a rotten head-cold. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with you all soon. In the meantime I hope you are all well and enjoying life.

This is a bit of a last-ditch shot to get my 365 for today, but there's something about the quality of light in this that feels quite special.

Apart from the (subtle!) colour shift this is unedited. I loved the blur on this but it was so miserable and overcast today I felt the need to warm things up a bit :-)

I'd put this up on the wall to make me feel better, but I can't help feeling that I'd need to redecorate... now you know why I, mostly, shoot b+w!

Sorry I've been a bit on-and-off recently. Insomnia, and over-sleeping, plus work have sapped my inspiration. Took this one yesterday and had written it off as a total washout. With a clearer head I've changed my mind so up it goes :-)
