This photo was taken on Central Campus at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The building at the bottom is the Law Library, which was built underground. The building on the top is the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, which is the business school of the University of Michigan.

Beautiful Peonies in Peony Garden / 牡丹花園內的花海

Today I went to the University of Michigan Peony Garden (in Ann Arbor, Michigan). The Peonies are in full bloom now. It was really hard to do HDR photography in this windy day because the flower just could't stand still for a while. I tried my best to process this photo from one single shot.

This photo was taken inside the Cotswold Forge in Greenfield Village (located in Dearborn, Michigan). The Forge was built in Snowshills, England in the Cotswold region about 1600, and was reconstructed in the Greenfield Village in 1931. Blacksmiths made and repaired iron tools in this Forge. You can see how many tools they had for blacksmithing.

在密西根州的綠野村內有一間重建的英國古老打鐵舖。看了才知道原來鐵匠的工具這麼多，光是火鉗就有好幾種。

This is the Stockwell Hall located on central campus of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. It is a dormitory for students. The mosaic decoration on the wall looks more beautiful at night than in the morning.

This photo was taken in Mammoth Hot Springs of Yellowstone National Park. What I like about these terraces is that they are actually living things. The water of hot spring breeds numerous of lives within it.

I took this photo at the Peony Garden of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I used a shutter speed of 1/2000 sec to capture this photo. To achieve this, I set the ISO up to 640. I took many photos of this busy bee collecting nectar, and this is my favorite one. It was flying toward another flower.

密西根大學的牡丹花園內百花齊放，我在園中追著蜜蜂拍照。這枝蜜蜂正採完花蜜，飛向下一個目的地。

This place is Fairy Woods & Troll Hollow in Nichols Arboretum (in Ann Arbor, Michigan) where Fairies and Trolls roam in these forest. People built these small houses at the bottom of tree trunks for them. Try if you can find any Fairies or Trolls in this photo.

密西根大學的植物園內有一處名為妖精森林的地方。在這裡人們在樹幹根部用樹枝搭建起一間間的小屋，希望給守護森林的精靈們一個溫暖的家。

I was visiting the Smithsonian Castle in Washington DC. There is a beautiful garden behind the Castle. Note that using a tripod to take photos is prohibited in this place. On the left side of this photo you can find Washington Monument behind a tree.

This photo was taken at Peony Garden in Nichols Arboretum (in Ann Arbor, Michigan). The Peony was not in full bloom yet when I visited the Peony Garden; however, various colors of Rhododendron (Boule de Neige) were blooming along the trail located on the edge of Peony Garden.

我到密西根大學的牡丹花園，想拍盛開中的牡丹花。沒想到牡丹花全都含苞待放，倒是一旁小徑上五顏六色的杜鵑花已然綻放了。這種杜鵑花跟我們台灣的杜鵑花長的不太一樣，連在台大看了十年杜鵑花的我都沒認出來。

This is the Conservatory of the University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens (in Ann Arbor, Michigan). The Botanical Gardens was a very educational place. You can get to know all kinds of plants by visiting the indoor greenhouse or outdoor gardens.

This is Calliandra haematocephala and its flowers. The furry flower looks like a pink sea urchin on the tree branch. I took this photo in the greenhouse of Matthaei Botanical Gardens (in Ann Arbor, Michigan).

I went to North Campus of the University of Michigan at sunset to take photos. While I was rushing from one place to another, I passed by Duderstadt Center and was astonished by its beauty at night. I stopped to grab this photo and continued to my next destination.

此照片中的建築為密西根大學北校區的圖書館(Duderstadt Center)，仔細觀察可以發現三樓有一個人正在K書。薄暮下的天空、燈光下的花朵，明亮的室內，搭配起來真是美極了。

Crab apple blossoms in front of Lurie Engineering Center / 校園盛開的蘋果花

This photo was taken in front of Lurie Engineering Center (located on North Campus, the University of Michigan) when the crab apple trees were in full bloom. Sometimes it's hard to tell a difference between cherry and crab apple blossoms. However, I guessed the trees in this photo were crab apple trees because they were in full bloom when the cherry blossoms had already withered. Please leave me a comment if I am wrong.

此照片拍攝於密西根大學的北校區。酸蘋果花和櫻花十分相像，我不太會分辨。查了很多資料，由花期來推測是酸蘋果花，因為拍這張照片的時候，櫻花都已經凋謝了。

I took this photo from an observation deck in North Bay Park, Ypsilanti, Michigan. You can see the amazing narrow long trail on the lake. Beautiful willow trees were planted along the trail.

I was in Arlington, Virginia, near Arlington Cemetery Metro Station. There is a small river flowing toward the city. I took this photo from a bridge. I like the cyan color of the river surface reflected from the sky.

I took this photo in the second floor of Ann and Robert H. Lurie Biomedical Engineering Building, located on North Campus of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The view from this common area is really amazing. I hope one day I can work in an office as beautiful as here.

I was on a quiet Ann Arbor street (Onondaga Street), walking toward the Arboretum. Then I saw these beautiful trees with white blossoms that were in full bloom. I went back and forth on the street, trying to find a best angle to take photos. Finally I found it.

拍攝於美國密西根州安娜堡市寧靜的小街道上。初春時分，大樹上開滿了小白花時在太美了，我徘徊在街道上尋找最美的角度。

It's not easily to see a cactus with flowers. However, when I went to the University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens (in Ann Arbor, Michigan), I saw many strange cactuses blooming in the Conservertory. The cactus in this photo is the Old Lady Cactus (Mammillaria Hahniana, Cactaceae).
