Another shot of a pedestrian crossing relfected in my mates sunglasses (I liked how the 1st one turned out). I've made the reflection in the glasses much more the subject matter of this shot though. Taken at the Imperial Palace Plaza (Kokyo Gaien), Marunouchi, Tokyo Japan.

The Meganebashi (Eyeglass Bridge) and the Imperial Palace, Marunouchi, Tokyo, Japan. Kinda hard to shoot this is an original and different way to all the other shots out there (at least it's more interesting than the shots I too the 1st time I visited in 2007!).

From Kokyo Gaien, the large plaza in front of the Imperial Palace, visitors can view the Nijubashi, two bridges that form an entrance to the inner palace grounds. The stone bridge in front is called Meganebashi (Eyeglass Bridge) for its looks. The bridge in the back was formerly a wooden bridge with two levels, from which the name Nijubashi (Double Bridge) is derived.

2nd shot from the "series". Up early for our visit to Tsukiji Fish Market, Tokyo (I've never been able to get up early enough to see the auctions though, and tend to feel it would be too crowded and touristy to be worth it?). This is the view from our hotel room looking over Shinjuku and beyond. We were very lucky and got a room on the top floor (40th from memory). Amazing views day and night :)

This is a favourite of those signs about cigarette littering (or public smoking/other community rules) that I love and that represent Japan to me! The other things I love about Japan that are so very Japanese are: the manhole covers, taxi signs, onigawara/roof tiles and cartoon character construction barriers! There are many more things I love about Japan, but these are the distinctly Japanese things that are so very quirky!
