I came up to Boston a few days ago by bus from New York. A few hours before we arrived, I saw everything was white and I was thinking if I would be able to survive. LOL. So far, I'm still alive. My fingers usually froze when I take some time taking pictures. But apart from that, I think its not that bad. The cold weather also made me not want to drink too much, especially since I'm usually outside taking pictures for hours and sometimes don't have access to restrooms. I think the second day I was here I was so dehydrated that I can feel I was going to faint. But I immediately eat and drink something and then I was fine.

So, I'm currently in New York. Been here for about couple of weeks now. Yes, I'm having tons of fun. Thats always the case with traveling. :)
Unfortunately, I have not been taking too many pictures. Not as many as I usually do when I travel. I'm leaving to either Philly or DC (still undecided) tomorrow, so I thought I should try to take some shots of Times Square and the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center. I was disappointed; there is nothing special with the tree except for its size. It is only decorated with little lights and the only ornament is the swarovski star on top.
I took zero picture of it and left the place disappointed. Walked to Times Square for some blinding lights. I have to say that Times Square is definitely not the best place to takes pictures, especially at night when you need a tripod. There are simply too many people on the street. And tonight especially was colder than the days before. It snowed a little bit tonight, which was cool, but the wind was freeeeeeeeezing and blowing the snow to your face and eyes (not pleasant).
Despite all those unpleasant things, I think I got a couple of okay shots. I was hoping for something a lot better, but I guess I have to redo this later when I get back here around New Year.

For some reason I have been talking many night shots during this trip. I have not been taking too many day shots and I am not satisfied with most of the day shots I've taken. Perhaps winter is better for night shots? Or maybe its because I am trying something new? Or maybe I've developed a better skills for night shots? (Thanks, Arnold)

So I am now in Boston freezing myself. Some people asked me why I came to the east coast during winter. I came from a tropical country, so I guess its good for me to come here during winter. See how people can cope with the cold and the snow. Its actually not as bad. :) I hate cold, but I guess I'll get used to it after a while.
Its also a good practice for me since I actually wanna go to Antarctica sometime in the future.

Boston has been awesome. It is such an old city populated with so many youngsters. I am actually thinking it would be so nice to try to live here for sometime (maybe in summer - fall though).

This picture is taken down the Wharf. It was pretty grey and flat before sunset. I was glad to see colors when the (hidden) sun was setting.

Photo taken in Battery Park - NYC. I initially wanted to go to the Irish Memorial before sunset to get some silhouette shots, but I was there too late. I was debating whether I wanna stand in the cold and takes some pictures or go home and get warm. I guess I did the right thing. :)

I postponed my trip to DC. I will be leaving tomorrow instead. I hope the roads are clear by then.
