The al masjid al-a'dam mosque ('the very great mosque') built next to the kasbah was extended in the AH 11th / AD 17th century. With the exception of its main entrance, the building is entirely undecorated and is only noteworthy for its octagonal minaret.

It is not known where the Barb horse developed; some believe the breed originated in northern Africa during the 8th century, about the time that Islamic invaders reached the region. There is controversy over whether the Barb and Arabian horses share a common ancestor, or if the Arabian was a predecessor of the Barb. Native horses of the region may have been influenced by the crossing of "oriental" breeds, including the Arabian horse, Turkmenian or Akhal-Teke, and Caspian horse, with Iberian horses brought back from Europe by the Moorish invaders after they conquered southern Spain. Today the several varieties of Barb include the Algerian, Moroccan, and Tunisian.......

Cathedrale Saint Pierre - Place Du Golan - Rabat - Maroc

La première pierre de cet édifice a été posée en 1919, l'architecte était M. Laforgue.
La cérémonie d'inauguration a été présidée en 1921 par le résident général Hubert Lyautey. Elle ne possédait pas à son origine les deux flèches que l'on voit de loin dans Rabat, et qui ont été érigées quelques années plus tard en 1930.
Si l'on excepte la chapelle Saint-François d'Assise, la cathédrale est le seul édifice religieux catholique de Rabat. La cathédrale Saint Pierre jouxte la Wilaya de Rabat avec sa nouvelle façade et sa place circulaire caractéristique de l'architecture des années 1930.
La belle cathédrale est toujours en fonction, avec sa messe du dimanche
