1974 RD250 converted to an RD350 and raced as a modified production racer. I was a member of AAMRR (Assoication of American Motorcycle Road Racers). Leathers were custom made by Vanson Leathers in Boston. Note the large drum brakes...no disc brakes.

Second 250cc pracitice session at Daytona March, 1979. During this practice session i was timed thru the electic eye traps on the main straight-away. i clocked 126 MPH....not bad for a 250cc air-cooled race bike. This would turn out to be the only time i was officially timed.

i purchased this 1973 Yamaha TA 250 - in 1978. It was the last air-cooled Yamaha race bike produced. It was raced by a friend and co-worker (David Craft). i raced it for three years. 1978 only within my racing club's races (AAMRR) at Loudon, NH; Thompson Raceway in Connecticut, Brigehampton on Long Island, NY and Lime Rock speedway. In 1979 i qualified for my professional AMA racing license. I raced in 1979, 1980 and 1981 at Daytona during Speed Week and at the Loudon AMA Nationals in June and September. i continued to race AAMRR club races during these years.

The number "98" was my AMA professional racing number. i qualified for my license within the top 100 in the USA based on club racing participation and finishes. The front of my van is visible behind the m/c.

RACE TIME ! The 250cc Gran Prix roadrace. i was one of very few riders to qualify on an aircooled bikes....everyone else was riding water-cooled bikes...most of which were Yamaha TZ250s.
