The Culvert Public House, Cowley Mill Road, Uxbridge, Middlesex (London), UK, just before the owners closed it in 2009 to re-open it as a restaurant. It was the hub for the local gay community and their friends and there was uproar at the owners' decision. There was a lot of publicity about it in the local paper and online.

The Frays River in Uxbridge, (London) Middlesex. UK, during the cold spell in January 2010. Snow, bare trees and dark water remind me of how cold it was and how little shelter there was for wildlife except in evergreen trees and plants and in decaying matter under hedgerows. Thank goodness for spring! :o)

Old Red GPO Phone Boxes

Two old, red, English GPO, telephone boxes. Most have been replaced with more modern kiosks now. These two can be seen in Windsor Strreet, Uxbridge, Middlesex (London).

Some of the glass (or possibly plastic now!) has been vandalised with spray paint, a sign of current times, but these have withstood much more than that in their time.

The bandstand in Fassnidge Park, Uxbridge (London), Middlesex. UK - A busy park behind the town centre, visited by people of all ages throughout the day. A lot of people spend their dinner hour there on a nice day and it's also frequented by wildlife.
