This is the East Window at Driffield All Saints Church.
I was asked to take the photo to allow them to print an updated copy.
Decided to use HDR, in order to retain some of the detail in the brickwork as well as the window.

I have been meaning to take a self portrait for sometime and finally got around to it last weekend (it has taken me over a year...never said that I was the quickest...).

Have processed it through photoshop, favouring a gritty finish to the image.

My entry for this month's astrophotography theme.
It was a cloudy night (sounds like I'm telling a story here) and we didn't think that getting a picture would be possible but patience paid off in the end. Used live view (the eyes are failing me in my old age) to get the best focus.
Have cropped as far as I dare in Photoshop, and used the sharpening tool a little to produce this image.

Another one at the Driffield Steam Festival. Liked the idea of letting off steam at the end of the day. Slight crop to the photo to remove a pedestrian but otherwise nothing else done.

engine

At the Driffield Steam Festival parade through the town. Many engines, but this one seemed to come out the best. Did try & pick engine out in colour, but black & white works best in my opinion. Shame the drivers didn't get into period costume...
