The Reclining Vishnu

Present inside a shrine in the caves of Undavalli, this statue of Lord Vishnu has been carved (along with the complete 4 level cave structure) out of stone on a small hill across river Krishna.

Situated at stones throw distance from the Krishna River in Vijayawada, these caves date back to the 5th century. The caves are carved on a small hill and comprise of 4 levels. The second level has a small shrine which houses a huge statue of Lord Vishnu in reclining posture, carved out of a single grainite stone.

These caves are a brilliant example of craftmanship and considering the fact that they were built so long back, they are just awesome.

When you hit highway and are passing through a countryside during a beautiful evening, this is how the evening sky would greet you in its full hue'd glory!

A family spending an evening around the hussain sagar lake.

In the backdrop far behind is the Buddha Statue which is built in middle of the lake and is a major hangout place for city dwellers and tourists alike.

Well the same evening we spotted this one, The Flying Warrior. And the way its apparent face is lit by the setting sun's light, it looked so awesome!

Cows are probably the most sacrad animal in India. Almost next to devine. They are revered all over the country and there are many different festivals which are either dedicated to or involve cows during the ceremony. In villiages, cows are like another member of all the families.
