Kondalilla Falls got its name from an Aboriginal word meaning "rushing waters", a good description of this waterfall during the summer wet season. Enter the cool, wet eucalypt forest with a rainforest understorey and walk to Picnic Creek.

Picnic Creek circuit starts after you cross the creek. Take the right-hand fork to a lookout over Obi Obi Valley. As the track winds down through open forest to the top of the falls, you can see the waterfall. Continue onto Skene Creek and the lush green rainforest at the bottom of the falls.

If you continue on Kondalilla Falls circuit you will see palms and tree ferns, cross dry gullies and walk alongside Kondalilla Falls. From the base of the falls, take a short detour down the sidetrack and rock-hop to a scenic point where you can see the cascading falls. This is also the first section of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great! Walk.

Tweed Heads is a town located on the Tweed River in north-eastern New South Wales, Australia in Tweed Shire. Tweed Heads is located next to the border with Queensland, adjacent to the "Twin Town" of Coolangatta, a suburb of the Gold Coast. It is often referred to as a town where you can change time zones – even celebrate New Year twice within an hour – simply by crossing the street, due to its close proximity to the Queensland border, and the fact that New South Wales observes daylight saving whereas Queensland does not.

As the seat of Queensland’s government since 1868, Parliament House is unique as the first and only purpose-built parliamentary building in Queensland. At the time of construction it was the largest and most imposing building in the state, indicating the sense of optimism felt by the Queensland Government of the time.

The place is a significant landmark in the city of Brisbane, and it is also of considerable aesthetic significance for its high degree of design and craftsmanship, including decorative glass, ornamental cast iron, marble chimneypieces and cedar and yellowwood joinery.

As the seat of Queensland’s government since 1868, Parliament House is unique as the first and only purpose-built parliamentary building in Queensland. At the time of construction it was the largest and most imposing building in the state, indicating the sense of optimism felt by the Queensland Government of the time.

The original three-storey wing of Parliament House, facing George Street, was constructed in 1865–68 to the design of the Colonial Architect, Charles Tiffin. The building was in the Renaissance Revival style...

The place is a significant landmark in the city of Brisbane, and it is also of considerable aesthetic significance for its high degree of design and craftsmanship, including decorative glass, ornamental cast iron, marble chimneypieces and cedar and yellowwood joinery.

Built as a monument to Freemasonry in Queensland and as a World War I memorial, the Masonic Temple is an exceptional example of an Australian Masonic Temple. The temple makes an importan contribution to the streetscape of Ann Street through the scale of its giant order Corinthian columns and its interiors, particularly the Grand Hall and the Court of Remembrance, are renowned for their grandeur. It is substantially intact both externally and internally and is held in high regard by the Masonic community.

The Grand Lodge Room, a large symmetrical open space with a vaulted coffered ceiling and stepped seating facing the centre, on the top floor seated 1100 people and was described in the Architecture and Building Journal in February 1928 as the ‘largest and finest of its kind in Australia’.

Along with the two double height Legislativ Chambers on the first floor, the wing included libraries on the first and second floors of the central pavilion; a grand staircase at the back of the central pavilion, with stained glass windows; and concealed spiral staircases at the rear of the wing, leading from the ground floor to the reporters’ gallery of each Legislative Chamber.

The place is a significant landmark in the city of Brisbane, and it is also of considerable aesthetic significance for its high degree of design and craftsmanship, including decorative glass, ornamental cast iron, marble chimneypieces and cedar and yellowwood joinery.

Customs House is a building located on Queen Street by the Brisbane River in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was originally used for the collection of customs duty and was both completed and opened in 1889, when Queensland was a British colony.

The Long Room encompasses two levels and features fluted Corinthian pilasters under a striking a copper-sheathed dome roof. The materials used in the construction of the building included local sandstone and bricks from Petrie’s Oriel Road brickworks in Clayfield. Local cedar, beech, pine and ironbark were used in the furniture and timber work. Fireplaces were built from Italian marble.

Old Government House was the residence of the Governors of Queensland from 1862 until 1910, designed to accommodate the administration of the colony, host society functions and large parties, and also to permit everyday domestic life. The house was carefully planned to allow these functions to coincide without disruption.

The building is a fine example of Classical Revival architecture modified for a tropical environment and contains many rare finishes and fittings. With its iron and sandstone Ionic columns, triangular gables, and graceful semi-circular pavilions, it was the epitome of civilisation and democracy at the time.

The house is... a rare surviving example of the domestic work of the Colonial Architect, Charles Tiffin.

The Grand Lodge Room, a large symmetrical open space with a vaulted coffered ceiling and stepped seating facing the centre, on the top floor seated 1100 people and was described in the Architecture and Building Journal in February 1928 as the ‘largest and finest of its kind in Australia’.

The Treasury Heritage Hotel, built 1901–05, has an historic association with a number of government and civi institutions. The Executive Council and Cabinet met in the building from 1905 until 1971, and it housed the offices of the State Premiers of this period. It was the first major Edwardian Baroque building built in Australia and is the finest example of this style in Queensland.

The building symbolises the sense of State pride and achievement associated with the advent of Federation and Statehood in 1901. The themes of agriculture and mining, the back-bones of Queensland’s economy, are featured in the architectural detail and it showcases Queensland materials. The base course and plinth are made of granite obtained from Enoggera and Mount Crosby. Brown freestone from Helidon faces the outer walls and freestone from Yangan, near Warwick, was used on the colonnade walls. The beautiful joinery is constructed of Queensland timbers including maple, cedar, black bean and silky oak, and the ceilings are finished with fibrous plaster incorporating bagasse, a sugar cane by-product.

The Grand Lodge Room, a large symmetrical open space with a vaulted coffered ceiling and stepped seating facing the centre, on the top floor seated 1100 people and was described in the Architecture and Building Journal in February 1928 as the ‘largest and finest of its kind in Australia’.

Customs House is a building located on Queen Street by the Brisbane River in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was originally used for the collection of customs duty and was both completed and opened in 1889, when Queensland was a British colony... Customs House is a Brisbane landmark known for its distinctive copper dome. The building was designed by Charles McLay of the Queensland Colonial Architect's Office... The building became redundant when port facilities moved to the Port of Brisbane at the mouth of the Brisbane River, resulting in its closure in April 1988.
