Found a new photo location! I was driving down the road and I saw this gorgeous tree lined drive. I'd gone down there before and it took me to the river, but I'd completely forgotten about it. So that's my secret destination tomorrow morning. So looking forward to it!

Oh...what an adventure this was...Chasing after the light (which we got VERY little of...) Realizing that we still had 1.25 miles left to walk when it was pitch black and then realizing that I got a PARKING VIOLATION because I didn't know that the park 'closed' at sundown. Who knew???

I love windows!
Their windows fascinated me. It rained all day while we were there...some of that hurricane rolling in, I guess. Very touristy area, and made me glad we spent the majority of our time OUT of the city.

A photo I seemed to overlook when looking through my France folder. I really like the different colors in the sky and the fact that one of our friends is shell-collecting in the distance while we're watching. It was so peaceful in Franceville, Normandie. Each evening we walked down the street to the beach. It wasn't touristy at all--there were only locals walking their dogs or sitting on benches looking out at that ocean. I could live there forever.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.” -Anonymous
