just some of my collection of "things" -a mask from Venice-art glass--my Grandmother's crystal necklace and bracelets made by my creative mother...all artfully arranged in the morning light.... the title is from a very old song.....now if only it was a real ball not a dream one......................

A shot for the New York Times project today

my planned shot changed due to family reasons so this shot of my local town had to fit into the "community theme" -its a place dear to my heart so hope you like it too.....it was funny when I walked back past the guys outside the pub...they wondered if I was "paparazzi" -who me ? We all had a good laugh & they were most impressed when I said it was being submitted to the New York Times....I walked off giggling to myself as I'm sure everyone elses submissions will be much more exciting than this one of mine.....

A tiny Egyptian faience spoon in the shape of a girl swimming...this is my favourite object in the entire museum so far-I was totally drawn to this across a room crowded with much larger objects & filled with groups of chattering schoolchildren ---sometimes things "speak " to you amidst all the distractions of life dont they ....
