Each plant species was wrapped around another one, anchored on the side of a tree, and cradling a few hanging vines while being completely covered with moss, fungus and crawling ants.<br /> <br /> Owl-eyed butterflies glided gently around us and I found a foot-long earthworm.<br /> <br /> We explored the land on and off the trails. Jack kept warning me about snakes, but I was more concerned with staying on my feet. Everything was slippery.
