After being cut for hay, this field adjacent to my yard was planted in corn. Here in central Wisconsin we say, "Knee-high by the 4th".....We're having hot, humid weather. These little guys will be getting tall quickly.

You know you live in central Wisconsin when: your nearest neighbor in any direction is a dairy farmer AND his mailbox is painted to match the barn.

It is technically still winter, but we are having decidedly and gloriously summer-like temperatures here in central Wisconsin. My son, Elijah, and I went for a walk today to enjoy the pre-spring warmup. Lippy enjoyed herself too.

Yesterday we took a little day trip up north to Copper Falls State Park (WI) then up to Ashland and Lake Superior. We had an unseasonably warm weather and a glorious time together. We don't often travel, as we're a one income family with six kids at home. So this was a real luxury for us--and well wroth it.
