Hen Eglwys sits on the side of a hill in Margam, Port Talbot. The name is Welsh for 'Old Church' and dates back to the Monastic times. The farming community of Margam used this chapel as their place of worship as only the monks could worship in the Margam Abbey that was situated below.

Visiting the ruin requires a walk up a steep hill, although recently steps directly to the chapel ruins have been added making the walk easier.

Erected for the 2003 Eistedffod. Druids, Poets and Singers stood on the centre stone to recite their contribution to the celebration (The Welsh word Gorsedd translates to Supreme Seat) .

Western Avenue Roundabout before coming onto Seaway parade. The playing fields are to the right, straight on is Western Avenue and to the left is the one way turning into St Helier Drive.
