Fly 2 hrs 45 mins from Kuala Lumpur to Tawau in Sabah ( former British North Borneo ) and then 1 hr by road to the town of Semporna . Make the latter your base of operations . From here , boat rides ranging from one to two hours will bring you to this place and to the other islands .
