Southbank Skate Park - May 2012

LONDON, UK - MAY 2012: I recently heard that Southbank was thinking of closing the Skate Park to open retail space. I was greatly sadden by this news as many skateboarders (both professional and Non Professional) rely on this space to practice. Its also a source of some stunning street art.

As someone who spends a lot of time in London I've been taking shots of this space since I first came to the city back in 2002. Here are just a few of these shots from over the years. Lets Keep this space open!

VIANDEN, LUXEMBOURG - MARCH 2013: Hallway in Vianden Castle. One of the largest fortified castles west of the Rhine. With origins dating from the 10th century, the castle was built in the Romanesque style from the 11th to 14th centuries.

Vianden Castle in the Mist

VIANDEN, LUXEMBOURG - MARCH 2013: View of Vianden Castle. The castle was built on the site of an ancient Roman castellum. The basement appears to have been a Carolingian refuge. and was the seat of the Vianden's counts from 1060s to the beginning of the 15th century.

LONDON, UK - NOVEMBER 2012: After visiting the exhibition myself I left by the side door of the Royal festival hall. Turning around I noticed the glass wall provided a nice shot of a group of people standing mesmerized by a selection of shots from the world press photo exhibition.

LUXEMBOURG CITY, LUXEMBOURG - MARCH 2013: Hallways in the Bock. As time passed, the fortifications needed to be adapted to new methods of war based on increasingly strong firepower. During the 1640s under the Spaniards, the Swiss engineer Isaac von Treybach significantly reworked the defences. The Bock was also strengthened with three forts, the Large Bock, Middle Bock and Small Bock (from west to east), separated from each other by cuts in the rock and linked by bridges.

LUXEMBOURG CITY, LUXEMBOURG - MARCH 2013: The Bock are underground tunnels built by the Count Siegfried in 963, providing a basis for the development of the town which became Luxembourg. Over the centuries, the Bock and the surrounding defences were reinforced, attacked and rebuilt time and time again as the armies of the Burgundians, Habsburgs, Spaniards, Prussians and French vied for victory over one of Europe's most strategic strongholds.
