Mt Wilson in the Autumn. I had been looking forward to heading up to Mt Wilson for many months now to see the Autumn colours up there for the first time. There are so many orange and reds around it looks like the whole place is alight. Could be good to view large on black (press L).

Went out to Richmond with Olga, Peter, Colin and Ray. Was a fun morning as differnet amounts of fog rolled through the plantation changing the look and feel and providing lots of differnent lighting oportunities. At this stage some warm light had broken through the fog. Thanks for viewing.

The Stockton Beach Sand Dunes at the Anna Bay end. Had to walk in about 20 minutes to find a spot where the commercial operators hadn't disturbed the sand. Thanks for viewing.

The Ballroom

This forest at the foot of Cradle Mountain know as The Ballroom is an amazing place. Full of moss covered trees and logs. Unfortunately the creek beds where dry this trip so I set about capturing a forest scene without a water element. This was the last of 5 compositions I attempted. Seven images edited in Lightroom, PTGui, Photoshop and NIK.

Also known as the bay of fires.
This was the last sunset on our 4 day Tassie tour with Tim Poulton.
We spent the afternoon exploring this fascinating place. The photographic possibilities are virtually endless. It was a bit overwhelming actually.
This is a 7 image panorama of the famous tree. Worth viewing large on black (press L)

Headed out to Wentworth Falls with Colin and Peter to shoot Queens Cascade and Weeping Rock at Wentworth Falls. Found this little gem just around the corner from Queens Cascade. Its likely little more than a trickle most of the year round.

Been eyeing off this spot in Manly for a while. It needs a lot of rain to get started. Well we got that in spades today in Sydney. This is a 7 image pano. I significantly cropped into the image and still ended up with 18k pixels on the long edge. Please take a moment and view large on black (press L).

Giant Yellow Duck

By now there has been a million photos of the giant duck in Darling Harbour for the Sydney Festival. Still, I wanted to share my take (and also it was a lot of fun to shoot). I thought the blue / yellow colour contrast worked really well in the scene and in this particular case the lack of an interesting sky did not detract from the overall comp. Thanks for viewing.

Quite a bit of effort went into obtaining this image. Firstly there was quite a long walk in as the road was closed. When we arrived there was a very large fallen tree at the top of the falls. It was ugly looking and did not add anything to the composition. It took about half an hour for the three of us to wrestle the tree out of the way. Please view large on black (press L). Cheers
