While walking the docks in Homer looking at all the old boats, mossy unkempt ones and the oldtimers drinking a beer after a long day with their old faithful dog by their side, we stumbled upon the Time Bandidt. I tried to get the girls to give me their best pirate face, but they were only half interested. So I got the reflection instead. The fall colors were pretty vibrabt that day.

We had an amazing run of Red Salmon come thru the the Kenai River this year, which also meant we had large numbers of Alaskans from all over the state coming to harvest fish. Unfortunately they didn't take care of our beach like us locals do. Luckily we had an awesome clean up crew that worked really hard to restore the beach to its pre-dipnet status. Until next year....

You can see a slew of fish carcasses mixed in with peoples waste and trash...

I took this and edited with my phone camera. My real camera took a tumble, compliments of little hands and I am now waiting for parts to come in. I do love the free photo editing app on my phone, kinda fun!

Grave Shifts do have their perks... Driving home from work this morning I pulled off near the water to take some photos, all of which are not on here. As I was leaving I saw The light hitting on the dewy grass and it made the most brilliant field of diamonds I have ever seen.
