This little terrier came bounding along the towpath to greet me as if I was its long lost owner. I didn't even notice it only had three legs 'til it turned round. The big curly haired minder was just as soft when it sensed I was not a threat. The companion dog looked like a cross between a dulux dog and a sheep.

These are the eight ducklings that followed their Mum and went for a nap. The other three seem quite independent and carried on swimming up and down the canal between the locks.

Wearing nothing but my boxers and the delighted grin of a child on Christmas morning I managed to open the window and lean out to grab a couple of shots. Not the best badger shot you will ever see but it's *my* badger. As well as monkey nuts this one eats pears but not apples.

I make no apologies for the quality of the photograph. Fumbling around in the dark for my camera after being, (half), awakened I hoped I had got the settings on full automatic. I didn't want to put the light on and I thought I was lucky to get the window open without disturbing this wonderful beast.
