Sold, at an auction of paintings from the Fine Art Hall of the Sanitary Fair, to J.W. Fitch for $35.

Source: Cleveland Plain Dealer, March 9, 1864, page 3.

Note: The only J.W. Fitch I've been able to locate in Cleveland at that time is one Jabez W. Fitch, of East Cleveland Township. His farm was located on Lake Erie, at approximately East 110th Street. Source: Propery Records, Cuyahoga County Archives and 1858 Hopkins map of Cuyahoga County.
