I took this shot of a speed boats steel flag pole at the marina (where else ;) ) I just loved how it looked in my VF, now I'm home I took a look at it 1:1 and love it even more, the super sharp image of the steel against the amazing DoF is just so pleasing to my eye, I hope you like it too.

Lord mayors walk, York. This original victorian sign is a famous land mark in York and is repainted every so often because of that. Bile Beans were a kill or cure for most digestion ailments I don't think they lasted too long in the shops, not as long as the sign anyway.

where I live in North Yorkshire I am so lucky to have the Yorkshire Dale National Park a few miles to the west and the North York Moors National Park a few miles to the east. This is Bilsdale moor between Helmsley and Chop gate in the North York Moors NP(the Bilsdale TV mast can be seen top right) this morning after a covering of snow over night, it really makes the patchwork of fields stand out. I adore this area any time of year.
