"On 29 October 2010 the vessel is reported as in distress 100 miles off the Scilly Isles having lost both masts in gale force winds and heavy seas. It was on a 3 and a half month cruise from the Netherlands to the Caribbean with 47 crew aboard including 36 trainees aged 14 years. Although there was an engine the ship's master was unwilling to use it for fear of trailing debris snagging on the propellor. There were no reported injuries. The ship was towed into the sheltered waters of Falmouth Bay after 100 miles and 3 days on tow by a small fishing trawler the Nova Spero; who's Captain, Shaun Edwards answered the mayday call."

This wreck off Brancaster in North Norfolk, was driven ashore in a huge storm, Yesterday as always this part of the beach was deserted. It is a very dangerous place to be when the tide comes in.

All day there was a fog bank blotting out most of the bridge, but miracously it partial lifted shortly before we sailed.

But very soon we entered into fog that stayed with us all the way down the Californian coast, fog horn blaring every min or so.

The 47,500 tonne Kriti Champion just going into the locks, in front the 50,000 tonne container ship Marie Maesk has already been lifted.

Not sure about all that diesel smoke.

The Ocean Village One arriving at Bridgetown, Barbados, at Sunrise, having just crossed the Atlantic. We were at the time on Ocean Village Two her sister ship inside the harbour.
That was the best part of the day, it poured with rain for the rest
