I kayaked on Salmon Lake early this morning. It was only 10 degrees and when I started there was mist rising from the warm water. The lake was glassy calm.... a beautiful time to be on the water.

We hiked by this house on a trail in Switzerland. Just past the tree line below is a beautiful lake. I would love to have this as my summer house!

Alpine Horn Lesson

This fellow was practicing with his 10 foot alpine horn in a very old church in the Black Forest. It was carbon fibre with beautiful carving on it and broke down into quite small sections so he could take it in a backpack the alps to play. He had a practice mouthpiece and gave us all a try and a little lesson. My grandsons were thrilled

It sounded wonderful in this very old stone church and he said in the alps he plays it much louder...it can be heard very long way!
