Venetian in style. As you step off the bus you are engulfed by a wonderful salty sea smell that invigorates all the senses, Slovenia may not have much coastline, but this little town more than makes up for it. I ate some of the best food in Slovenia here as well.<br /> <br /> My little studio overlooked a small market and a flower stall. Was so nice to wake up to this scene every morning and be greeted by the fruit and veg man on my way out.<br /> <br /> On my first day here I found myself in the middle of an orienteering competition. I'm talking lycra, headbands and serious running shoes. There were daytrippers on bicycles - also in lycra, walkers with walking sticks, rollerbladers, electric scooters and regular scooters. I got the impression this was a very outdoors type of country.
