iPlaid34 (sooooo busy - catching up soon!) posted a photo:

Recovery

A couple weeks ago, a little girl came into our photo hut at Ledges and asked us to shoot her "walk/trot" class. We usually don't shoot flat classes - only over fences classes. Well we told her that we would be sure to shoot her.

Well, the next day came and she came back to the photo hut to view her photos. Apparently, we had completely forgotten about it and missed her. I felt so bad. She looked so sad. I was determined to make it up to her one way or another.

This weekend at Lamplight, I was not the show photographer. I was only shooting my wife and another girl from our barn. A trainer from the barn where that girl rides saw me and mentioned that the little girl was at this show and was doing the walk-trot classes today. I knew it was the perfect opportunity to make up for our mishap a couple weeks ago.

I went to the ring and fired off a ton of photos. I then found her mother and told her that I would post them on my website this weekend and she could have them all on me as a makeup for forgetting to shoot her a couple weeks ago. The mom was elated and I know she'll be pleased with the photos when I post them.

This is one of the creative shots that I really liked as she was walking around the show ring. Such a cute little girl - and to top it all off - she won both her classes!
