Sometimes you find some interesting images while browsing through some older work, same for this one.

A couple of years ago I visited this Tawny Owl together with HvHe1. I like this image because you can see that the owl just enjoys the beautiful spring colors and is gathering some energy out of it.

In 2 weeks I will visit Montenegro together with my girlfriend, Sandra Lucas. I will try some more landscapes there, this because my landscape and 'nature' images were pretty highly faved and commented (THANKS!!) and made it into the top 10 on explore!

During my visit in the North Western part of the U.S. My brother and me paid a visit to the Upper Antelope Canyon. Wow how amazing was that! The way that the floods carved out the canyons was really magnificent. As for the light beams... It took some time to caputre them with no other people (tourists) in the frame. And the beams only exist for a couple of seconds so I had to be fast!

My girlfriend, Sandra Lucas, just activated her PRO account and is making her way here on Flickr. Please give her a warm welcome and have a look at her photostream!

At the end of last year, my brother and I paid a visit to the North Western part of the U.S.
Starting off in Boise ID followed by:
Arches N.P. UT
Monument Valley UT
Antelope Canyon AZ
Grand Canyon North Rim AZ
Grand Canyon South Rim AZ
Las Vegas NV,
Yellowstone N.P. MT
Grand Teton N.P. WY
and ending in Boise ID again... Man it was worth the 7300Km (4500 Mile) drive!

This shot is the very last shot I took in Grand Teton N.P.
It was the only day that the summits were out of the clouds, lucky me!

Also I would like to Invite all of you to my completely new website @ www.RademakerPhotography.com Here you can find my images and some high-res wallpapers that I made.

Hi all!
It has been a while since my last post, I have been away for work and I had a little holiday, so here I am again.

In the second half of February, I visited the Bavarian Forest for the second time. This is just one image of the thousands I shot there. It was such an awesome sight to see this magnificent animal plow through the deep snow. Because the sun was just breaking through the thick clouds that day, she was "Walking on sunshine"

A Bear necessity

Dennis Rademaker posted a photo:

During my visit to Yellowstone NP, my brother and I just had to find a Bear, either Black or Grizz, hence the name A "Bear" necessity.

Obviously the Bear's own necessity was a totally different one, finding that last berry to prepare for hibernation. In this image the Bear is long longingly over his shoulder to the bushes he cleared clean out of berries earlier.
After speaking to some friends who visited Yellowstone earlier and told us they did not see any Bears, the joy of seeing them is still with me....

This is a shot I took a few days ago in "Burgers zoo".
On this particular day I wanted to go shooting, but the weather was so bad I decided to head over to the zoo where I could take some pics inside in a very humid and warm climate. This zoo has a part called "Jungle", in this area you can find all kinds of animals living in the jungle.

This African Darter was drying its wings after trying to catch some fish for a while. This is the first "zoo-shot" on Flickr, but I like it that much that I wanted to share it with you.

Just take a look at the looks of this creature..... Magnificent isnt she?
My last Lynx image got a lot of comments and views and ended up #3 in Explore (with thanks to you all) so I decided to add another photo of the same Lynx.

In this photo I think this Lynx shows how cunning they can be, just by the way she looks, with the detail of the hanging paw and the tongue licking her nose. Just imagine being wounded and helpless and 5 or 6 of these creatures wandering around you with this look on their faces........

Also I would like to Invite all of you to my completely new website @ www.RademakerPhotography.com Here you can find my images and some high-res wallpapers that I made.

Ofcourse I would love to have some entries in my guestbook with your thoughts about the website.
Thanks!

With the intention to mainly shoot "big" carnivorous creatures like Wolf, Lynx and Bear, we never expected to shoot this little fella.

As we stopped somewhere to take some shots, this little guy blew his cover for us by running around like a maniac! Oh man these Weasels are fast! Sometimes he would just pose for a split second, this was our chance to make the shot.

Unlike the other animals in the park, this was a real "wild" one!

During my visit in Yellowstone NP, I encountered this beautiful Coyote. He was just all alone and calling towards the woods.
After 20 minutes he got a reply from deep in the woods and he headed off.
Probably got reunited with his mates as we saw 3 Coyotes just walking away happily :-)

After 20 minutes he got a reply from deep in the woods and he headed off.
Probably got reunited with his mates as we saw 3 Coyotes just walking away happily :-)

Hi all!

I just came back from a 3 week trip to the north-western part of the U.S.
After a 7200 km drive ( 4500 mile ) My brother and myself have seen alot of amazing things.

This pictures shows just one of them. It is a Bull Elk in the morning sun in Grand Teton NP. Oh man what are these Elk amazing, well the males with their bugling sounds sound kinda...... well let me say the sound is not what I was expecting to come out of such a large deer! (even Roe Deer sound more masculine! ). Anyway, we had a really great trip and more pictures to come!

Something entirely different from me now.

When I started photographing with Canon gear (which I still use this day), I registered myself on a Dutch Canon EOS forum.
Every year the people behind the forum organize a special "EOS day" to let all forummembers meet eachother in real life and talk about photography all day :), this year about 400 persons were present.

As I took my photogear with me with the intention in mind to photograph some birds that day, I turned up going home with a photograph so different of everything I have ever done before!

Some people declared me nuts when they saw me photographing this model with the EF 500mm f/4L IS lens!

I have to admit that I am extremly happy with the result and that I am happy to show it here to you!

As I was walking towards "my" Kingfisher spot, this scene caught my eye. This youngster Mute Swan was tucked in " Safe 'n sound" between his mothers wings. As all of his brothers and sisters swam on their own, I guess this was the lazy one of the bunch!

During the breeding season of the Purple Heron this is a common site wich the birds show. In the beginning of the breeding season the Herons start to build their nests by flying-in branches right between the reed.

During the landing the Herons make a "quacking" noise to let the others know they are coming in for landing as the others cant see them coming because of the reed (atleast that is what I think =) )
