Before moving on I'm going to continue posting shots from Saturday for the moment.

Amongst the happy outcomes for the day were a series I'll be posting some of over the next few days. When out on my lunch break, I passed a tall building that was being washed by two men harnessed up to long cords and dousing the building with high pressure hoses. I started by taking a couple of shots of them from over the road, because it wasn't something you saw all that often, and I remembered a book of street shots from some 50s/60s art/street photographer whose name I cannot remember, talking about looking for those things when he was out taking street shots.

Alas, those did not come out so hot. But, once I crossed the road and starting taking shots from under the awning, I got some good stuff. The water was being pumped out at such as pace and volume that it was often coming off the awning in waves and spouts. I like the mini cloud nature of this poof of water. More to come, heheh...

I think I've lost all control. Now the weird reflected light isn't simply making an appearance, it is taking over my photos! I like how the brick wall on the left sort of looms through the light as though through mist.

We had a family lunch at me dad's place in Kurrajong Heights a couple of weeks back now and I got the chance to take some non city shots with the hipsta for the first time. Here's one of my sister whilst we were looking for my niece, her daughter, who'd gone off for a walk.

On my way home through Bondi Junction one rainy night, I passed through the food market as it closed up. This fella was always just a little too far from me, one of the down sides to the hipsta is that everything seems to be further away than it does to the naked eye. Still, I like the slight movement that creates a slight blur to both the fella and the lit up sails.

I know, two shots at once! Cor. And this one is much more the sort of shot I'd usually post. Safety in familiarity and numbers! It's taken over the back wall of the old Carlton & United Brewry, behind my youngest brother's dilapidated warehouse. I like the strong silhouette against the flaring, setting sun.

So, after posting the textured & colourful shot a little while ago, it caused me to revisit some of the textured games I'd played with some photos. And I think I like this one. It was from the same group of shots as the 'Rainy Sydney nights no. 1' which is a sepia shot with usual hipstamatic. This was just with the iPhone, and alas I cannot remember for the life of me which app was used for the textures!

It's worth going on black...

This was taken a while ago and I can't really say as to why I haven't posted it yet. Personally I really like it. Taken a few months ago one night on my way home from work, Sydney had been rained on with great ferocity for weeks at this stage, in truly Sydney fashion.

And I'm not usually a sepia fella, but it really seemed to work with this one.

Just up the road from me, this church is usually a very unassuming, simple, brick structure. However, one time when passing recently, it stuck out and damned me, I'm sure.

Yep, that's me piana. To me, this shot somehow came out a little creepy, and I like that.
