I instantly fell in love with this building's architecture! Isn't it gorgeous? This is the S. H. Kress and Co. Building at 140 South Beach Street in Daytona Beach, Florida. It was part of the S. H. Kress & Co. "five and dime" department store chain. On July 7, 1983, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Romaine lettuce tossed with Caesar dressing parmesan and croutons; topped with a parmesan cracker. The parmesan cracker is sooooooooooo delicious and makes this salad quite unique!

The new exhibit is called, Reflections on Light. You're seeing two of four stations in this photo. The station to the left houses the 'Lighthouse Illumination' touch-screen kiosk program. The lighthouse cabinet to the right features a replica sixth order Fresne lens.

A new exhibit has opened at the Ponce de Leon Light Station Museum, which is called 'Reflections on Light'. There are four components to this new exhibit and this is one of them. This miniature lighthouse houses a replica sixth order lens. There are two controls on this display: one plays the narration for this display and the other controls the rotation of the lens. If you've never seen a Fresnel lens up close and personal, now is your chance!

A close-up of the display in the cabinet for Station #2 of the 'Reflections on Light' exhibit located in the Principal Keeper's Dwelling of the Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station Museum. The clear acrylic shapes you're seeing here represent the cross section of a Fresnel lens. Visitors will be able to see how light travels through a lens of this type, by moving a laser pointer!
