Dried: Macro Monday theme

The story behind this image: I was taking a ceramics class at the Mendocino Art Center in Mendocino, California. This project involved taking a slab of wet clay down to the rocks along the Mendocino Coast and imprinted the clay onto the rocks, then transported the clay imprint back to the ceramics workshop area and whipped up batches of Plaster of Paris. When the Plaster of Paris was ready we poured the plaster of Paris over the damp clay. The dried Plaster of Paris is shown above. More to the story: I then used the dried Plaster of Paster as a mold for ceramics.

A wise person presents a calm exterior, even though they may have much anxiety within.

"New" and "Old" theme for Macro Monday. This new Amarylis photo was taken with my new iPhone 5 and the words were added with a new iPhone app. Total creation time: 10 minutes.

Now- for comparison see an "OLD" work of art- one of my stone sculptures that took three months to create! See below.
