My home town Brussels is a ( secret ) pop-up cocktail richer, the Cointreau Fizz Garden, housed in a former bank building, and it's the place to be for anyone who want to discover the Cointreau Fizz cocktail in all its variations. The cool thing is that you can style your own drinks and make your own unique cocktail !

This amazing ( abandoned ) location was redecorated in garden style by Thierry Boutemy, a floral designer of international renown. Expect floral art, vintage decorations from the 20's, an amazing impressive setting and unique art work that give the interior a poetic touch. Music by local DJ's and surprise performances are provided.
Well, if you are visiting my home town the next week, this is the place to be !

Note that this is "private" and only open 3 days a week : Thursday, Friday and Saturday, opens at 18h30 ( you need to become "member" on the website, thats all you need to get in )
As this is only a popup bar, it will close April 20th.

Here at Inspiration Book, we like to spot the latest trends and talents in any life, so when we first came across the work of ShaySibrian, we just had to include her in this issue.
Not only was Shay the first in SL with a full mesh sim; she also has a great eye for concepts and interior design.

I have to admit, in RL I hate Christmas shopping. Streets are packed with shoppers, stores are overloaded with decorations and I never find what im looking for... If you live in a big city like Brussels, Christmas shopping is "just for the tourists"... Therefor, I "collect" gifts all your around, and then at Christmas, decides who get what.
So, when the BOSL team asked me to pull together my 6 gifts, I started to rezz all the items that for me, translated what our SL-designers had put on the grid in 2012 from my inventory.
I ended up with a giant line up... and 734 rezzed prims...
So, there we go, not just 6 items, but 6 designers who started their brand in 2012 and who I hope ( and im almost sure of that ) will leave their mark on how our future virtual homes will look. And equal the design you find in their stores, it will always be the perfect investment in SL future designers.

Nr 5 - Winter thorn for What Next - There are nine million bicycles in Beijing...

Well, i said only new designers... And true, Winter is not so new anymore, but... her bike is! I got myself this bike on the Home & Garden Expo 2012, and I biked around for months! Its perfectly made, the riding animations are amazing. Its maybe not the most original gift ever, but believe me, your friends will love it !

Of course there is more to tell, more to see, and more new designers to find. But as 2012 learned us, mesh design comes agonizingly slow to the grid, and not always with newest inspirations, but there is hope... This list of young and talented designers is the proof there is something going on, new designers finding their way to SL...

Nr 6 - Teawood by Robin Woodley - Minimal Perfection

Maybe one of the smallest stores ( for now ) on the newcomers.
But with big designs. And big in perfection!
Teawood brings a minimal style, in pure and muted tones, easy living and above all, with an eye for ecological design. This is one of those brands that put a big smile on my face when a new design is released.

Of course there is more to tell, more to see, and more new designers to find. But as 2012 learned us, mesh design comes agonizingly slow to the grid, and not always with newest inspirations, but there is hope... This list of young and talented designers is the proof there is something going on, new designers finding their way to SL...

1 - Flightless - Icon 2012, the Cardboard Moose
The men is a mystery, we know nothing about him. But what we do know, he made only ONE design, but it was perfect! A gorgeous cardboard moose head. It looks home made, it has amazing texture options, and it fits perfect in the "environment friendly" stream.
For me, the ultimate must have, and an icon in SL- design for 2012!

Nr 4 - Divine Falodir for Lame - Mesh & Textures

Lame is all new, only a few weeks old, but already on his way to build a giant collection. Classy and stylish mesh furniture, maybe nothing new under the sun i hear you think.. Well, just go have a visit to mr Divine's store and start clicking! All designs are texture menu scripted with fancy fabrics and designers pattern, an other store on your list !

Nr 3 - Kaz Nayar for Pilot - Mesh design for men !

I read in an interview that his push to start designing mesh, was impressing his girlfriend. Well Kaz, if thats true, for the sake of SL design, I truly hope she s hard to get!
Kaz's designs are clean and sturdy, and most items are designed for male avatars! Right, never seen before, interior design, especially made for men !
