&lt;p&gt;A dull and overcast day today so i went in search of the short eared owls around the coast but after a few hours searching the shortys did not make an appearance so i decided to head back and try for some more shots of the Fieldfare i was able to get closer today but i could only do so much with the available light looking on the bright side whilst watching wildlife there is never a dull moment!&lt;br /&gt;

    <media:description type="html">&lt;p&gt;A dull and overcast day today so i went in search of the short eared owls around the coast but after a few hours searching the shortys did not make an appearance so i decided to head back and try for some more shots of the Fieldfare i was able to get closer today but i could only do so much with the available light looking on the bright side whilst watching wildlife there is never a dull moment!&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Fieldfare has been a very challenging and tricky bird for me to photograph locating the birds is not the problem it is more a case of getting a clean shot amongst the branches and twigs and also not to spook them like the redwing  they are also very skittish and will depart very rapidly mores shots below!&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Just started to visit a small wooded area and the only bird that took an interest at this time to the food i put out were the great tits the long tailed tits and the goldcrest passed through but did not stop i was suprised just how quickly the great tits showed up so for the first time out it looks quite promising!&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The reason i decided to post this set was because i was pleased with the way my Kenko 1.4x teleplus convertor performed today in good light i cant see any noticeable image degragation so it seems fine for static shots obvious first concern`s were would it perform as well as the Canon 1.4x convertor? From what i can see all looks good and now i need to test it more on flight shots!&lt;br /&gt;

    <media:description type="html">&lt;p&gt;The reason i decided to post this set was because i was pleased with the way my Kenko 1.4x teleplus convertor performed today in good light i cant see any noticeable image degragation so it seems fine for static shots obvious first concern`s were would it perform as well as the Canon 1.4x convertor? From what i can see all looks good and now i need to test it more on flight shots!&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Arranged a meet up at Aust this morning with Rodney (Bristol boy1) to have another go at the Short eared owls but after a brief discussion we decided to head off to slimbride wwt in search of the Bittern that had been showing well recently whilst on route to the hide we met up with Nick stacey and barn owl terry great couple of guys only to discover that the bittern had taken flight away to some reeds so as not to waste an oppurtunity we decided to target some other birds this time that we had both wanted to photograph had a great day with Rod he is such great company to be in anyway here are some shots from the day!&lt;br /&gt;
