Swirls and trails left by autumn leaves trapped in the current. The easy way would have been to stand on the bank, but no, I took the more adventurous route by wading mid stream for a more intimate perspective.

The Frankestorm has shut down the Mid Atlantic, and with the winds, I'm sure that all of the leaves will be blown off the trees by the time Sandy departs...

sunrise at low tide

The sky wasn't as spectacular as last week, but still was a decent sunrise. The tide was low, so I was able to walk out onto the jetty. The low temps and the algae made it a bit slick, though.

Didn't have a reverse GND, yet, so I improvised with a GND .4 (clear up) and a GND 1.2 (clear down) to create a ribbon in the middle. Then added a ND .9 for this 30 sec exposure. I really need to get a
reverse GND.
