Taken after that London to Brighton bike ride in 2012. The London To Brighton is a 54 mile bike race, I did a few years back so know these riders deserve a little sleep!

I shot this while teaching a photography workshop, one the second day I get attendees to set them self a little project to get a set of images the tie together some how. I take part to show what can be done in an hour or so. I decided to document that sleeping London to Brighton racers on the beach. My next course is on the 8th-9th June in Brighton.

Waiting for Thatcher

I was working in London on the afternoon of 17th of April so I thought I would go up early and check out Thatcher's funeral procession. It was a strange mix of protesters out numbered by police and media. I got this shot at a relatively calm spot, I did have to wait a little for the until there was no pedestrians.

Spotted these two while I was teaching a mini photo workshop in at Bath Spa University last month. I set the students two tasks, one was to get a portrait of stranger with a story and the other was a mini photo scavenger hunt. On the scavenger hunt list was "matching", it was quite funny to see how many of them managed to shot this couple when reviewing the photos! I had great couple of days teaching at Bath Spa and Glamorgan University last month. I teach a private course as well if you want to, check it out on my site.

Clearly lifting half pigs and chopping up meat is a good work out, check the muscle definition.

Half pig carcass with kidneys

One of the things I learned documenting the butchers at Brampons is that when the pigs are delivered there kidneys are still attached on the inside.

This is the crowd from Photo-Forum on the 14th of March. Mimi Mollica and I gave a talk, apparently it was the second busiest it's ever been which is nice to know, thanks for everyone that turned up it was a great crowd. If your in London you definitely need to keep an eye on Photo-Forum it's free, there are 2 speakers and it's on the 2nd tuesday of the month.

Brighton beach carousel in the snow

Over summer the carousel on Brighton beach is packed away. When it comes back I always feel like it's summer again so this image is a bit of contradiction to me.

I also shot this image on Instagram. Who else out there takes a lot of photos twice, once for Instagram and once properly?

This is the full monty from the Breakfast Club Hoxton. I used to live a 14 minute walk from here when I lived in London. It was not there back in the early 2000s maybe if had been there I would of never of left. It was good breakfast, although the toast was a little to posh for it's own good and a bit rock hard. This was the full monty option, I did not even bother reading the other options on the menu would been a waste of time. Three bits of bacon what a result!

I was in London yesterday giving a talk at Photo Forum. I had a great time talking there and it was a great crowd. If you are London you need to check out Photo Forum because it will for fill all your free monthly photography talk needs.

Been give quite a few talks this year. This latest one was the 4th year. Because I have been doing quite a lot I have put my tips for making presentations into this blog post.

Pig delivery at a butchers

When I was shooting a few pictures at Bramptons Butchers of them preparing a pig delivery I learned a few things. Pigs are are delivered in halves, half of them halves still have heads attached and there kidneys are still attached on the inside. See more of my Bramptons Butchers pictures on my website.

Hardy men & woman of Brighton Swimming Club

Taken this morning 7:30am (Tue 12th March 2013). Brighton swimming club's swimmers go swimming no matter what the weather is like. I have recently been helping Brighton swimming club get there archive online on there Floating Memories Flickr account.
