Lancaster flying overhead

Paul Simpson Photography posted a video:

This was the scene once the Lancaster had taken off from Scampton, it double-backed on itself, flew over the base (for the TV cameras I guess) then it was off overhead and on the way over to the Derwent Valley for the 70 year anniversary flight of the 1943 Dambusters raid over Germany.

Taken with a Lumix TZ30 camera while stood in a farmers field at the end of the runway - southern end.

The last flying Lancaster in the UK taking off just before noon on 16/05/2013 from RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire on its way to the Derwent Valley in Derbyshire. 'Celebrating' 70 years of the famous Dam Busters flight into Germany.

The 1943 raid was practised over the dams and reservoirs in Derbyshire before the long flight over to Germany with the 'bouncing bomb'

I took this short film with a Lumix TZ30 camera while standing at the perimeter fence of the southern end of the runway.

One of two scale models of Lancaster Bombers that were flying at the recent RAF Wickenby 'Wings and Wheels' weekend.

You have to be skilled to fly these radio controlled models, wouldn't fancy crashing one of them.....

Another view of some bluebells from the May 2013 season. A fallen tree adds some interest and a lead in towards the back of the woodland where a carpet of blue continues unabated.

I'm having trouble with my recent uploads on Flickr, I'm editing the pictures on a laptop for the time being and can I heck get the colour/brightness to look right. They look ok at the angle viewed on the laptop but look grossly dark on most other screens I then look at Flickr on. Hoping to get the PC of mine fixed before too long but in the meantime just bear with my darker images, I may have to re-edit them on the PC at some point when it's working again.....

Looking back through some of the photos I took when I used to do wedding photography. (Given up now for various reasons). This wedding was the only one where it rained and I had to take most of the photos inside the church. I was lucky with the weather on the rest of the weddings.

This image was the last one I took at the church, the wedding car had returned for the couple after taking the rest of the important guests to the reception. I had brought my trusty 'wedding brolly' (always good as a prop) and had the groom hold it as they dashed towards me - I say dashed, more of a comedy Benny Hill fast walk - I was stood next to the car getting wet waiting for them to get near.....

One of the many cars at the Lincolnshire Border Club Classic Car Rally sponsored by TSW Printers in the North Lincolnshire town of Brigg on Sunday 12th May 2013. We were lucky with the weather, nice and bright with just enough sun to ward off the chill. I was one of many people with cameras there all trying for that unique angle and to see some rare and special cars. This image taken with a Sony A100 and CZ24-70 lens.

A pale pink blossom for spring 2013 on a sunny afternoon in May. Image from a Galaxy S3 phone.
